These are things you need to do to understand how to configure the HP Tango Printer. Unbox the printer, connect it to a power source, load paper, install the ink cartridge, and then connect it to your wireless network.

Unbox The HP Tango Wireless Printer

Remove the printer out of the box and set up the wrap or output tray.

  • Remove the power cord and the printer out of the box.
  • Recycle all the packing material.
  • Adjust the printer on the wrap or output tray by aligning all the four corners with the indentations.

Plug The Printer To A Power Source

Attach the power cord to the back of the printer, Plug the other end of the power cord into an electrical socket, and then Turn On the printer.

Install Ink Cartridges And Load Paper Into The Printer
Install the ink cartridges that came with the printer and load plain pages of A4 size in the input tray.

  • Slide the paper width to the edges of the input panel corner.
  • Insert a stack of plain A4 size white paper into the input cabinet.
  • Slide the paper width into the input cabinet until they touch the edges of the paper.
  • Press down on the ink door button of the printer to release the ink cartridge access door, and then lift the ink door until it stops at a place.
  • Wait until the carriage is silent and shiftless before you move on.
  • Grab an ink cartridge from its package. Be cautious about touching only the black plastic of the ink cartridge; don’t touch another side of the ink cartridge.
  • Remove the plastic tape carefully from the ink cartridge, and then recycle the tape and package.
  • Insert the cartridge into its slot with the nozzles toward the printer and then press the ink cartridge until it fixes into its place.
  • Follow the steps again for the other ink cartridge.
  • Gently, lower the ink cartridge access door, and then press smoothly to lock the door into its place.

    After installing the ink cartridge, the printer will print an alined page.
  • Wait till the printer fully ejects an aligned page.

Connect The HP Tango Printer To A Network

To connect the printer to a wireless network, use the HP Smart application. It is a free application tool that helps to easily and quickly connect the printer to the network and manage the printer settings.

The HP Smart is available for Android, Windows 10, Apple IOS, and macOS. If you are using your computer with windows 8.1 (or earlier), use the WPS technique to connect the printer to a wireless network.

Note: You can print a Wireless Quick Start Guide to set up your printer properly. Touch and hold the information button at least for 3 seconds on the control panel. When another control panel buttons light up, touch again the information button to print Wireless Quick Start Guidethen follow up the steps on the printed page to connect the printer to a wireless network.

Register in HP Instant Ink (Optional)

After completing all the steps, your printer is now eligible for HP Instant Ink, which can save time and reduce printing costs. After enrolling, the printer will automatically monitor the printer ink levels and alerts to replace the ink cartridge when the ink level is low.
